Program Manager, Network for LGBT Health Equity

With the submission deadline just days away (9 days to be exact), we are sure many of you are feverishly writing the best application possible.

We want to know how things are going…

  • Is your state or county including LGBT Communities in their plan?
  • Is community collaborative taking the lead?
  • Do you need assistance linking with others in your area?
  • Do you need resources to assist you in your writing?

We have held a couple of calls, which many of you attended but now that we are down to the wire we want to ensure you all are doing well and talking with each other to create the best grant submission possible.

Please use the comment section below to let us, and the Network base know how things are going in your area.

Please know the Network is here to support you in your efforts, we are all about linking people and information. With a diverse Network base we can link you with others in your area to assist you in creating a strong, inclusive proposal.

  1. We are no longer applying. Our governor issued an executive order prohibiting state agencies from applying for any funding attached to the ACA without a waiver. The governor is personally reviewing any waiver applications. Ours was denied. – Idaho

    1. Wow, I know Florida is in a similar boat. Is there a community group that could apply with support from your camp? Any other plans in your area that you know of?

  2. Two of our Tribes are applying. Our YMCA is applying as well. No LGBTQ specific community groups. Some of the other community groups who were partnering with us feel the timeline is now to short to scramble and put in an application, even with our support. Plus, applicants needed to submit a letter of intent. That deadline has passed. There may be exceptions especially for partners in this circumstance.
